The 6th Annual Highland Park Lacrosse Alumni Game was held at Highlander Stadium on Saturday, November 29!

It was a great day with over 25 alumni players in attendance! Playing in their first alumni game were our recent graduates from the HP 2009 Texas State Championship team. At halftime, Coach Derek Thomson presented the Class of 2009 players with their State Championship rings.

WHAT A GAME! On Saturday, November 29, our 5th Annual HP Alumni Game had the largest turnout in the history of the event with over 30 alumni players in attendance! The returning alumni played against HP's fall season varsity team at our Southwest Airlines fields in front of over 100 parents, supporters and fans. This year’s oldest returning HP alumni were Ben Compton and Miller Sylvan (Class of 2001). Playing in their first alumni game were our recent graduates from the HP 2008 Texas State Championship team. At halftime, Coach Derek Thomson presented the Class of 2008 players with their State Championship rings and Jack Murtha (Air Force) with the THSLL Commissioner's Award. It was a hard fought contest enjoyed by an overflow sideline crowd of spectators, with the alumni finally outscoring the current Scots by a single goal (as the buzzer sounded)!

2006 was the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Highland Park Boys Lacrosse. On Thanksgiving weekend, the 3rd Annual Alumni game was held at Highlander Stadium. 22 alumni dating as far back as the original 1996 team played against HP's Fall season varsity in front of 200 fans. Oldest returning alumnus was Jeff Irish, and playing in their first alumni game were Class of 2006 teammates John and Charley Dickenson (both U of Denver), Harrison Powers (Hampden-Sydney), Kolter Livengood (Lynchburg) and James Walter. The high school team outlasted the alums by a goal, but keeping score was not important. Everybody enjoyed catching up with old teammates and friends and burning off all of that turkey.
