HIghland Park To Host 2010 State Championships |
Highland Park Boys Lacrosse to Host Texas High School 2010 State Championships
Highland Park Boys Lacrosse is pleased to announce that the Texas High School Lacrosse League 2010 Division I and Division II State Championships will be held at Highlander Stadium May 8 - 9. Semi-final games for both divisions will be held on Saturday, May 8 and the state championships will be held on Sunday, May 9.
This is a unique opportunity for Highland Park to host a state championship. A special thanks goes to Dr. Dawson Orr, Superintendent, and the Highland Park Independent School District for allowing us to host this event at Highlander Stadium.
Putting on such a large event will require a team effort from Highland Park Boys Lacrosse parents and friends. TICKETS AVAILABLE! WATCH COLLEGE LACROSSE AND SEE HP PLAY IN THE OPENING GAME! BIG CITY LACROSSE CLASSIC ORDER FORM
On April 10, 2010, the New Meadowlands Stadium (new home of the NY Giants and NY Jets) will host the Big City Classic featuring Hofstra v. University of Delaware, Virginia v. North Carolina and Princeton v. Syracuse (see www.bigcityclassic.com for more information).
The Highland Park Varsity Lacrosse Team will be playing The Lawrenceville School at 8:30 a.m. on April 10, 2010 as one of two high school games being played that day at the stadium prior to the collegiate games. Highland Park has access to tickets good for admission to all of the collegiate/high school games for the price of $15 per ticket (a discount off the minimum $25 ticket price plus handling charges being advertised). It is the mission of the Highland Park Boys Lacrosse Club to provide a fun, safe and instructive lacrosse program for our Bantam and Youth boys, so they are able to develop and achieve success as a member of one of our highly competitive high school teams. All of our players must reside in the Highland Park Independent School District. In order to be a successful program, the voluntary board is faced with many administrative and organizational duties and must raise significant funds to help pay for fields, equipment, and coaches. The Lacrosse Club depends on financial support from our lacrosse families, friends and corporate sponsors to help us maintain our position as the premier lacrosse program in Texas.
